HI! I JUST JOINED THE WEBSITE AND I LOVE COOKING. I FIND THAT COOKING HAS A CALMING AFFECT ON ME. IF I AM UPSET ABOUT SOMETHING, I JUST GO IN THE KITCHEN AND START WHIPPING UP SOMETHING AND I FIND MYSELF CALMING DOWN FROM WHAT EVER HAS UPSET ME. I WAS BORN IN LAKE CHARLES LA,BUT I WAS ADOPTED AT AGE FOUR AND RAISED IN GRETNA ABOUT A 10-15 MINUTE DRIVE TO THE FRENCH QUARTER IN NEW ORLEANS ACROSS THE GNO. I HAVE BEEN SURROUNDED BY THE SIGHTS,SOUNDS AND SMELLS OF ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR PLACES IN THE WORLD MY WHOLE LIFE. WHO CAN'T HELP BUT BE IN LOVE WITH FOOD HERE. NEW ORLEANS IS A MECA OF CULTURE, AND FOOD.ONE OF OUR MOST POPULAR SAYINGS "HERE IN THE SOUTH, WE DON'T EAT TO LIVE...WE LIVE TO EAT.!" I AM RECENTLY MARRIED AND MY HUBBY LOVES EVERYTHING I HAVE COOKED FOR HIM. MY DAUGHTER IS PICKY, BUT AS SHE GETS OLDER SHE IS LEARNING TO LIKE DIFFERENT THINGS, OR AT LEAST GIVE THEM A TRY. IT IS NICE TO FIND A SITE LIKE THIS WHERE OTHERS HAVE A PASSION FOR COOKING LIKE I DO. I CAN'T WAIT TO TRY AND SHARE RECIPES WITH EVERYONE. I AM LOOKING FOR SOME KEEPER RECIPES TO ADD TO MY EVER GROWING COLLECTION. SO.......BRING ON THE RECIPES AND NEW FOODIE FRIENDS.
