Hi Cutegirl, I would not recommend subbing anything for the Crisco except perhaps an emulsified hi-ratio shortening such as Sweetex. Sweetex brand is a commercial brand of shortening that holds more liquid content. If you try to sub with butter, or margarine, the water content is too high and it probably won't work. --Kn0x--
