I come from a long line of wonderful cooks and first learned cooking from my Mom and grandmothers when I was so small I had to stand on a stool to reach the counter. I cook from my Louisiana heritage as well as all kinds of new a
nd interesting things. We don't eat red meat and our daughter is vegetarian, so I cook lots of veggies and fish. I garden (herbs, fruits and vegetables) and am a member of a CSA, so we also try to eat organically and local when possible.
After my family, cooking, collecting vintage colourware and photography are my main passions. I make photos of food I cook and food I eat in restaurants. And often I like to try to recreate good restaurant dishes at home.
