i've actually never heard of pepper jelly - i'm from Australia, but i've googled and can see what it is. mmmm all the ingredients in this recipe sound so good - i don't need a picture, i can smell it already. i think i could make this substituting some lemon juice and finely chopped red chillis for the jelly. (but there are some online recipes for the jelly) thankyou for this recipe.

    Hey Mike
Lots of us music folks here on this site. Something about the link between good food and good sound that brings us together. Personally into old classic rock, CCR, Janis Joplin, and some blues stuff like Jeff Healey and the like, so there is definitely some Cajun-swamp-rock in my soul.

Hey demonik, thanks for the invite - glad to accept and share some recipes. I was born and raised in the Upper Midwest, so southern cooking was not part of my upbringing...more like "white food" (what we lovingly called our Swedish cuisine, everything smothered in a white sauce or mayo or sour cream - Swedes love their white food!). But I was blessed with a mom who loved to cook, and used any excuse to practice her new recipes and ideas. I am looking forward to browsing your recipes, and I'm sure I'll find many new ones to try - I love southern cooking (once I escaped MN and found out that there were other food groups besides dairy and pickled fish)...Krum
