About me
I'm a Memphis native living in Denver for the past couple of years. I have the pleasure of cooking for a husband that hates onions and tomatoes, a kid that hates anything green, and a preschooler that hates anything that isn't PB&J. :P
Growing up I had a very bad attitude toward food and cooking. Why on earth would I want to cook something if I could just go out and have someone else cook it or open a package? So I never bothered to learn to cook as a kid or teenager, something I deeply regretted later. It's been a bit of a learning curve, but I think I do alright now. I might still be sitting on the low end of intermediate, because I'm nowhere NEAR expert!
I love to bake and try new foods. Fresh ingredients and from scratch are my obsessions right now, something that can make finding recipes a little difficult. Being from the south makes me a little picky about barbeque and cajun food... because I've had the real stuff! ;D
I love banana bread and this one sounds perfect. I like that you have whole wheat four in it. I've got some bananas that will be ready for bread in a few days.
