Currently lovin' Homemade corn tortillas; Daube Provencale; slow-rise bread; my Tassimo coffee machine making Carte Noir Voluptuoso coffee; Bulldog's home-cooked burgers on sourdough rolls; CHEESE; chocolate; Belgian bacon; HEB hickory-smoked brisket .
Retired chef. Spouse. Grandmother. Mother (youngest a fresher at Harvard who hates the food, so eats cereal for most meals). Political. ADD. Food-opinionated. Appreciating more subtle flavors in my old age. Lazier, too. Adores Cote d'Or milk chocolate bars with whole hazelnuts (how uncool - not dark chocolate?). Impressed with this site.

LOL! YOU'RE SO RIGHT not everything is deep fried but I am a sucker for Fry-Daddies! I have family in Corpus and I fly all the way there JUST to go to La Playa for their famous deep fried Chicken & Cheese Stuffed Avacado! OMG.... it's so good that when my dad visits I make him bring me back one right before he gets on the plane! I want to move there! LOL :)
