You're right-I'm definitely a baker, Do you "sneak" veggies into your familiy's meals (in meatloaf, soups, etc) or do you just present it and try to get them to eat it? My boys and their dad wouldn't eat anything except corn, green beens, carrots(raw) and potatoes. Now-they're in their 30's-they eat all kinds of things. I put mixed veggies in meatloaf, in chicken noodle soup, anywhere I thought I could get away with it and tried not to make a big issue of it. Does you family like fresh vegetables? Sugar snap peas, celery, etc?

I know that dilemma all to well with two boys. Then my daughter decided to be a vegetarian who would not eat tomatoes, eggplant, mushrooms, or any type of beans. We finally compromised with her eating chicken, but I've decided it's time for her to cook for herself and I'll make what I want to eat. I've been searching for something new ever since, but feel I'm not pulling my share by contributing "new" recipes. I've been on Allrecipes for quite a while, but wanted to try something new.

Hi Elle55! I found the site while looking for some info on Fried Eggplant...like Mom wused to make! I also wish to get out of a cooking rut too! I have an unusual issue in which most everyone in my household is a "vege-phobe", and will not eat most veggies! Do you know how hard it is to make new dishes, when if a vegetable is even spotted, nobody will touch it? It's quickly becoming a bore! Any help would be appreciated.

Hi! I saw your pic on this site and you just looked friendly! Thanks for becoming my "friend". I tend to be a lurker and am still trying to figure out how to get around on this site, but it has some great features. As you can see, I joined just shortly before you. I've cooked through two boys, one girl a two husbands (divorced once) and want to get out of my rut. I'm looking for healthy and inexpensive foods and hope to "stretch" myself a bit while enjoying the result. Hope you enjoy the site.

Thanks for the recipes posted! It seems that you are a baker at heart. I will endeavor to post some myself and send some over to you. Thanks again!
