I've just turned 60 - arrrgh! Born in England but emigrated to Australia in 1974, so have spent half my life in each country. Have always enjoyed cooking , mostly for family and friends - very eclectic recipes. Joined the Whistle Stop Cafe a few years back and started swapping recipes with lots of Southern gals. We even sent each other a few food boxes. Four years ago my partner and I bought a Pub with 54 seat restaurant attached so now very interested in all aspects of food. We serve hearty home cooked pub grub. We have 2 chefs, an apprentice, kitchen hands and washer-uppers. I oversee all this, decide on the menu and also personally cook all the old fashioned ,rib sticking ,hot desserts - Crumbles, Bread and Butter Puds, and my famous Golden Syrup Dumplings. We are always booked out and sometimes serve 90+ meals per 2 hr session.
