About me
Currently I'm helping a nonprofit organization implement character building and manners classes into public schools. I also am an organic skin care formulator, which carries over into my cooking when possible. I love gardening, photography and traveling. Not much into lots of "stuff", but I do like collecting antique handmade oriental mud figures -- beautiful art pieces. I live outside of Nashville in the country on about 3 acres. My son-in-law is an up-and-coming master chef in L.A., from whom I've learned a lot. He's had quite a few write-ups on his original recipes. Sometimes I'm a bit intimidated by his cooking abilities, but I'm definitely the winner in the baking department. **wink** "Less is more" is my mantra -- but that doesn't always apply to recipes! I do feel it's important to be "prepared" in case of emergencies (who knows what will happen?) and would like to become more proficient with the basics and "winging" it.

I've been lazy, but I promise I will try to get some up.

Thanks for responding to my friend request, and adding me as a friend.

Hi and thanks for being my cooking buddy! Hope we have many recipes to share! Have a great week - Sue

It is rewarding for me to be a teacher. I love it. My son said to me as he'd been trying to decide what direction to go in college, "Mom, I just hope that whatever I end up doing- that I love my job as much as you do yours." Now that felt rewarding!

Thanks for being a cooking friend.

From your bio: " implement character building and manners classes into public schools."
Yesss!!! I'm a 2nd gr. teacher. We start off each new school year with a Character Building unit, then carry it throughout the whole year long as part of our character and discipline plan.

Thanks I will check it out.

Thanks for being my cooking friend.

I love your "about me" write up. I am always saying "less is more". I had a cousin visit from out-of-town last year and say, "Do you not like pictures on your walls?". I am still decorating my house, but my motto is that if I can live w/out it, I don't buy it...But it is nice and roomy, and gradually becoming decorated w/ the things that I really love! I have to check out your healthy recipes! Have a great weekend!

Simply Yogurt
I like this! We love yogurt, especially my 2-year-old, Kyle. It'll be great to make our own.

Simply Yogurt
I've always purchased yogurt, shimmers. I don't know why you couldn't use it though. If you try it, let us know!

Nuts-bolts Party Mix
This is very similar to my party mix recipe. I got it from my aunt many years ago. I change it every time to suit my mood. Thanks for sharing this.

Honey Corn Bread
Yes, it's so similar to the one I like that I know it's good. YUMMMMMM
