About me
I was born in Johannesburg but grew up on a farm in Africa. I entertained myself as a young girl by baking cakes for every guest that came our way. I was sent to school in a very small town that was made up of 6 Boarding schools, a University and a Mental institution. The best thing about the town was its HUGE library. I spent hours pouring over the “ foreign “ cookbook section and tried many recipes. I now live in Durban which is a port city on the East Coast. There is a very high Indian population and their cuisine is readily available. My tastes range from curries and pastas to barbeques and sangrias. I love food that is high in taste but low in “ bad “ fats. I need more recipes for tasty vegetable dishes as I want to start growing my own ( that’s if the wild geese do not eat all of my seedlings first ;-) )
