About me
I like cooking for my family, usually just my husband and me. We both retired to Ashland from the East Coast in 2000. We like going to the theatre (Ashland) and opera (San Francisco) and watching Netflix movies in our comfortable home. I do drawing and printmaking as a hobby, and go to Nia classes 2-3 times a week for exercise. I'm a beginnng gardener and had tomatoes, romaine, and herbs during the summer. I loved popping out to my garden for fresh herbs! What I look for most in making a menu is the little "unexpected" element--a new combination of flavors or textures that stimulates. I find it more fun to cook a new recipe than a "favorite" so am always studying my clippings and cookbooks. I love Mark Bittman's "Minimalist" column in the New York Times.

~~~~~~~~~HAPPY NEW YEAR~~~~~~~~
I would love any information you would like to send my way.
About a wok....most of a Chinese and Thai dishes...are better to cook in a wok..it bring out more favor to your dish.....if you have one, thats will be great.
The Cassoulet recipe would most likely serve 8 people.. I forgot to say for Gluten Free use GF bread crumbs.. I did change the recipe to say that.. thanks for looking and your nice comment. have a Happy New Years.
Esherbow! I am glad I came to your page or I may have missed all this information- to write to me just go to my page that way I can reply to you..
I wanted to tell you that you can make your own version of gingersnap cookies that are gluten free. Also check out your health food isle, I know at my grocery store they have a variety of delicious gluten free goodies/foods. Even gingerdoodles which you could substitute- check out my C J Gingerdoodle recipe when you have a chance, just substitute the wheat for a gluten free version of flour. Is spelt flour gluten free?
Let me know if you decide to make my Chicken and Chanterelle Delight, it is the best! I'm all out of buttons, which is making me impatient for the new season to start.
Marie
Thank you for looking at my popcorn balls and the tortilla.. You're right the tortillas are a great way to use small amounts of this and than from the refrigerator and still come up with a healthy gluten free meal.. and I love those popcorn balls!!!
In Red Curry recipes..you can put less amount of pepper if you don't like it spicy that doesn't mean you going to have less tast in you dish. Most of Thai dish...when is not spicy and not good...
On that Red Curry...if you don't like it hot then just put a little..
Http://www.grouprecipes.com/people/peetabear Thank you for Wendy Warks gluten-free flour mix Recipe. I look forward to being your cooking friend.
