Hello, im scott and im in the air force, lef ome early and used to eating in a mess, now im trying to start to get into cooking my own food and im not exactly the best at it but i enjoy it , im open to any tips on cooking or ideas you may have however i will not be in a situation to tell you my own recipes as there usualy a recipe for disaster. cheers

You learn more from your mistakes than your successes. And some of the most famous recipes are the result of experimentation and happy accidents.
When I got married, I knew how to make one thing..meatloaf..and it tasted like dogfood. I married a guy whose Mother was one of those incredible southern cooks. I mean this woman could make dirt taste good. And my then new Husband, designed his life around his meals, so after about a year of struggling through cookbooks and magazines and asking questions like, "What does tsp. mean?" I had a pretty good number of successful recipes in my collection and my Hubby began longing for MY pot roast instead of Mom's.
