About me
Well, I proclaimed myself a beginner cook, but keep in mind, my chili has never been lambasted, I bake homemade bread and pizza and etc... in a wood stove, right next to the coals, and I have cooked for everything from a Roadkill Cafe connoisseur to a finicky citified vegetarian... (I am not saying that vegetarians are bad, it is just that the one I speak of is my ex wife!!!) I do everything I can to cook or bake using the woodstove that heats my home, so most of what I cook could be considered campfire, chuckwagon, or even wood fired brick oven cooking. Yes, I eat a lot of meat, but because my tagline will not let me put veggies in UPPERCASE, they lost a bit of the importance I tried to place on them. In Summer, my grill is fired with, you guessed it, wood!!! Veggies work great on the grill, and my grill even has an oven in it! Now, could someone please tell me why I cook this way when I am a self proclaimed tree hugger? :) Oh, and just to make sure, because I mentioned roadkill earlier and my username may suggest such, keep in mind that of all the wild game out there, Venison is about the only one I will go for. Not much for fish or foul and the only way I have found to get me to eat elk is to have my cousin cook it for me!!! But all in all, I love a challenge, and boy, do I have a lot of options to challenge me!!! Out of every recipe I try, 2 out of 3 fail my tastes... But I try every recipe 3 times, just to be sure!!!
