About me
I'm not much for measurements - most of my cooking is done with a handful of this and a few shakes of that. The only time I follow a recipe to the letter is if the recipe is for some sort of baked good. Baking is Alchemy. I don't own a microwave. I love my Cuisinart food processor. 5 things always in my kitchen: Fresh Garlic, Onions, Honey, Canned Tomatoes, Cumen. Every recipe I post to this site will be of my own invention/experimentation/interpretation unless a source is otherwise stated.

Hi. Thanks for stopping by my Pumpkin Pie Cake recipe. I usually just sprinkle toasted pecans on the top but I see no reason why you can't add nuts and/or raisins to the batter. Let me know how it turns out. :)

My dad used to grow it and I don't remember ever doing anything with it either! The texture of the kohlrabi is perfect for this treatment.

I hadn't thought about using Golden syrup in place of corn syrup but I can't see why it wouldn't work just the same. If I still lived in England that's probably what I would have been using anyway.
