About me
I'm retired, living on the East Coast of Canada only 2 miles from some beautiful beaches. I have 3 children 6 1/2 grandchildren. I love cooking, rug hooking, gardening, genealogy, knitting, chrocheting, and lots of other crafty things. I love to cook from scratch and since the early days of my marriage 40 years ago, I have seldom used a mix of any kind. Over the past 2 years I have developed a number of food sensitivities so am looking for recipes that contain no yeast, flour, dairy , higher carbs, or fruit. Sounds tough, but there are lots of good tasting recipes out there.

Hi, Gemmes! A girlfriend made this several years ago, and I was addicted at first bite! It’s a little different than most guacs, but I promise you’ll like it! Hi, I just read your home smoked meat question on Frodo's page. Here's something to think about if you really have to watch your sugar. Always ask, if you're buying home smoked meat, whether it's sugar cured or not. There is a hickory smoking technique that does not use sugar at all ~ that would be perfect for you. Hope that helps a little. BTW, my grandfather was an old Southern farmer ~ he smoked all kinds of meats, too. Blessings, deb

and you can down load up load and email recipes


SORRY BUT YES, the sugar actually goes into the meat
the "pours" or cells open up and capture it, according to alton brown..LOL
