About me
I grew up on American food, then learned that vegetables don't have to be boiled to a mush, and there were more spices than salt, pepper and garlic salt! I've taken cooking classes and begged my way into working in ethnic restaurants with some great cooks. My wife is Italian, and has her grandmother's recipies. We both love to try new ethnic dishes. My favorite, for some time now, has been Thai; it is easy, fast and flavorful. I also try Vietnamese, which takes a more delicate touch. I got my start in Chinese (not greasy American Chinese!) My wife has just gotten some Turkish friends and has been preparing some wonderfully flavored meals. My dream is to travel to Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam or India to taste the local dishes and learn more about the food and the culture. I can almost smell the street food vendor's carts from here!
