    THANKS FOR THE POST ON THE STIR FRY RECIPE, I ENJOY RECIPES LIKE THIS BECAUSE THEY CAN BE MADE WITH ANYTHING YOU HAVE ON HAND BASICALLY AND IT IS CHEAP AND QUICK.

    Sometimes I'll change 1 or maybe 2 Gala apples for the Granny Smiths although my hubby prefers all Grannys. I think it's really a personal thing so if you have a mix that you're fond of, then, by all means, use it. Personally, the first time I make a recipe, I like to make it as per the recipe so I know where to go from there the 2nd time around. I've made this recipe and like it just as is. Thanks for asking!

    I've been looking for a good apple pie recipe for fall, and this looks perfect. Though I do have a question: I was told that the trick to a flavor balance is using different kind of apples for a pie. Is this true? Have you tried it? I will use granny smiths like you suggested for this but I'm rather curious how it would be as a mixed batch. Thanks for this.

    Gracee, thanks so much for finding something you liked on my sheet. Most of the recipes are my wife's, I'm just the writer and photographer. I do the chopping and prep. I would hope you like the Suthren Country Big City Eclectic cuisine that Louisville, Ky can provide.
