About me
I love cooking for my boyfriend, our friends, and even our dog! Monthly, we meet with our fellow dinner club buddies and spend the evening filled with food & drink each focused around a particular theme. Unlike typical dinner clubs instead of having the host labor over the food for the evening, we do it potluck-style and, when possible, cook together. We live in Denver and enjoy all that this beautiful city has to offer -- skiing, biking, jazz in the park on Sundays in the Summer, the wonderful farmers markets, and dining out as often as we can. We have quite a few restaurants we consider our favorites but are always up for trying new trendy spots and especially the ones considered holes in the wall (sometimes they have the best food -- especially the Mexican taquerias... no American Mexican for us, please!) I come from the belief that food is love so no matter who I'm cooking for, I do my best to make a meal that translates this to them. My boyfriend teases me when I try to "plate" our weeknight meals with elegance (I'm not quite there...) but he is always there to reassure me that the meal, if not the presentation, was fantastic.
