About me
I am first generation from my family to be born in the US. Both of my parents are from Greece. My mother is, of course, an amazing cook who never, ever used processed foods. Everything was made from scratch. And that's me essentially-- though I do give in to the ease of certain pre-made things for the sake of convenience and sanity in these crazy times! I love-love-love to eat and I will try anything once. "Bring it on!" is my mantra. I'm very glad to have found this site. _______________________________________________________________________________ “And, of course, that is what all of this is - all of this: the one song, ever changing, ever reincarnated, that speaks somehow from and to and for that which is ineffable within us and without us, that is both prayer and deliverance, folly and wisdom, that inspires us to dance or smile or simply to go on, senselessly, incomprehensibly, beatifically, in the face of mortality and the truth that our lives are more ill-writ, ill-rhymed and fleeting than any song, except perhaps those songs - that song, endlesly reincarnated - born of that truth, be it the moon and June of that truth, or the wordless blue moan, or the rotgut or the elegant poetry of it. That nameless black-hulled ship of Ulysses, that long black train, that Terraplane, that mystery train, that Rocket ‘88′, that Buick 6 - same journey, same miracle, same end and endlessness.” – Nick Tosches, Where Dead Voices Gather ______________________________________________________________________________

I'm always delighted to stop by and view your recipes. Loukanika was actually the first sausage I made a few years back.

Good Morning GG! Thanks so much for your comments and great rating on the The Ever Popular Souvlaki recipe I posted. My family and I have enjoyed souvlaki for MANY years and that recipe is most definitely a favourite! I hope you give it a try. Take care and again, many thanks.
Oh, I almost forgot, I love your "Greek Rose" ;)

Glad you enjoyed the Fried Green Tomato Hornworms recipe. It was fun to post and see how everyone commented on such a delicious meal. Of course I would never eat it but some people in the world do I suppose. Hope you enlarged the pics of the three hornworms to see how they look with a macro lens. Cool claws in the front. JJ
