    These were amazing. I made them with my 6th grade students after reading about them in a story. Several of them including myself thought they would be awful, but we reluctantly tried them and discovered they were wonderful dunked in catchup. We will definitely make these again. Yum!

    I followed the recipe but i replaced the lemon juice with milk, wasn't sure how the lemon would taste in the banana bread and i had to bake it for 50 minutes too! But it turned out awesome!

    Ok, I just followed this recipe and it was DELICIOUS!!! The only thing was that I had to cook it for about 50 minutes also. But it didn't overflow, You probably just used a small pan. If I were you, I would make it again using a bigger pan. Trust me, its delicious!

    First of all, there is no way that any kind of sweet bread can bake in only 15-20 minutes. I ended up baking this for 50 minutes and it still was mushy when I pulled it out of the oven. Not only that, but it overflowed the loaf pan into the oven and made a huge mess! I won't ever make this again.

    This has got to be my favorite Filipino dessert of all time! It's so easy, but sooooooo good! If you like it on the sweeter side, cut the banana in half again lengthwise... taste like candy when all that brown sugar caramelizes around it when fried. Sometimes I add cinnamon for a different taste. If you can find them, apple bananas (yes, it's an actual variety of banana) are the best to use in lumpias.
