About me
Buna ziua! I'm 25, married (one year), Peace Corps volunteer in Romania. By day, I volunteer with a non-governmental organization dealing with local environmental problems. By night (or weekend!) I can usually be found in our local piata (open air market) looking for that next interesting local ingredient that will make my day...and my kitchen! My husband and I are HUGE fans of Mexican foods & try our darnest to duplicate our favorite tastes from home (southwest US) with Romanian ingredients. It's not always easy, but we are often successful! I am also a test cook for the PC cookbook Pofta Buna, so look for some yummy RO recipes coming soon!

I have a smoker and I smoke and dry my own plum tomatoes whenever we light up the beast. Looking forward to the PC posts. I'll have to tell my daughter about what you are doing. Thanks for your comment about the ranch dressing recipe. We don't purchase any store bought salad dressings. Once you have made your own you don't want one that has chemicals in it.
