About me
52 year old married woman, mother to one boy and 1 girl, living in the beautiful island of Mallorca in the Mediterranean coast of Spain. I love family and friends, cooking, patchwork, exercise, animals and gardening. We have 3 adopted cats from vet and one adopted dog from shelter. Here in Mallorca we have the typical Mediterranean style food: lots of veggies and fruit, beautiful seafood and fish, and a traditional home-style cooking. Had a dear friend from South Carolina, now living in North Pole, Alaska, from whom I learned lots of American recipes from chowders to cheesecakes and I have been trying to keep them growing since then. Because of my husband´s job (he is a retired IBERIA Airlines flying attendant) I have visited many countries around the world and have been many times in the States, being Alaska my dreamland.

Ahhhh - your beach scene sounds so inviting, Inmaculada! We set out the patio chair cushions last Sunday, and set up the umbrella over the table, and I will continue to wait patiently. I would love to be strolling your beaches, dining with the local food vendors, and sipping on a chilled drink! We are going to a downtown tapas restaurant (Cafe Baba Reeba) for Mother's Day Brunch this year - it is one of my very favorite restuarants, and I am so excited to try their brunch. I will let you know of the wonderful food we taste that day!

PS - By the way, the BEST sauteed calamares I ever ate was in Granada...along with the most fantastic mussels in a garlic/lemon broth - oh, my mouth is watering now!

Hola, Inmaculada - so glad you liked the frozen buster bar dessert...it's one of my favorite summertime desserts to keep handy in the freezer (with the door locked so I can't get to it!). The sun is beginning to shine more regularly, with subtle hints that summer will return here one day...our several days of pleasant weather is going to turn to rain/snow mix by next Monday, so Mother Nature is still joking with us!
