About me
I'm originally from Philly (Pa) but I've been in Southern California since 1993. I am a single Mom to two beautiful children, CJ (15) and Naomi (20 months). When I was a little girl I loved to watch Julia Childs on Saturday mornings, I would run to the kitchen when she was making something that looked good and try and make them myself. A story that my Mom likes to tell is when I ran downstairs, and by memory, made these almost perfect blueberry muffins, one problem though, I used rye flour instead of white.. lol!! My Father was the only one to try them and he ate every one. :) I have just recently started cooking again, I had forgotten how much I enjoyed creating meals, with children and work I just got so sidetracked and used to picking food up because I was so tired. Now, you couldn't pay me to get "fast food" and when we do go out, I'm trying to taste my way through the meal so that I can recreate it with my own twist! I've decided to go to Culinary school in the Spring and embark on a new career in Catering, I'm so excited!! I love to cook for my family and friends, food is such a wonderful way to express both creativiting and love!!
