About me
I have two children whom i love to spend my time with. They are a crack up as they get older, but as many of you parents know children can drive us to sit in the bathroom when we don't even have to use it so we can get a moment of piece and quiet....lol....I love to cook and have been experimenting with different flavors and spices which the kids like and hold their nose to at times....lol....whenever I try something new I ask for their opinions.....some concoctions work and others are a total bomb.....I like to get them out of the norm of just a few basic flavors.....I come from a large family and had to start dinner when I was a teenager but really don't remember my parents telling me what I had to add and how much.....some of it ended up kind of bland because they weren't into onions or to much garlic, which I love.....now I ask friends what goes best with certain foods and love a different variety of things but I grew up on Mexican food.....enchiladas, tostadas, burritos, rice and such I have down pat....baking is something I love to do and always do.....my son and I will sometimes put our heads together to try different things with baking so that is great......my daughter will try every now and again but not so much......I do have them in the kitchen helping me cook and they like the responsiblity of making a menu for the family and learning about recipes when we bring out the cookbook or look on the Food Network Channel online.
