Quark dip is a little salty but when combined with the tomatoes has a good flavor.

Regarding the Fraser family -- any link would have to be from England, as my great grandfather Fred was born in Kent. Due to a famine or some similar problem he was sent over to Canada at age 7 with his brother, to be taken in and raised by farm families. Unfortunately the brothers were separated and I don't think Fred passed down any information about his original Kent family.

Anyway, cheers and thanks for posting the Xmas cake recipe!

Thank you for leaving message on the Dilly Bread. Glad it turned out, and the changes for wheat flour. I did notice that some recipes call for less dill, however it really taste good with more. Did you say you used the bread machine? I use to have a bread machine until my daughter took to college. ha.
    Thank you again

Jgnat, try the skim milk or 2 percent fat milk. The three tablespoons of butter isn't much butter at all but if you can't have it, use olive oil, margarine or one of those new fat free spreads that you can find in the grocery stores. As far as the cheese goes, try a yogurt or soy cheese instead of the cheddar. I love aged cheddar but it would change the recipe. Of course, the best part about Group Recipes is that we can change any recipe we like to suit our tastes (and waistlines!) Change it and please post the new recipe for the rest of us to try. Thanks for your comments!
