My second round on the delightful Jims White Clam Sauce/saved. Today I used reconstituted dried shitake mushrooms along with some chopped fresh basil. The basil I added in the first step to saute with the garlic, thyme and oregano. The green in the photo is the fresh parsley which is added in the last step. I served it over white basmati rice instead of pasta which was wonderful.

This sounds so much like the recipe I make except you add the carrots and celery to the cooking liquid. What a great idea. I'm one of those who spreads mustard on the meat before cooking -- to help tenderize -- but it's tender no matter what. The recipe I use is http://www.quick-german-recipes.com/beef-rouladen-recipe.html and I want to thank you for making me want to enjoy it this weekend!

Hello, jim thanks for viewing my buffalo mozzarella, usually it is not made with garlic... but I have always tried my own flavor of adding (pardon the play on words) that extra kick to the palate. Believe me it is quite good.... I have had many, many compliments on this version. Try it yourself and tell me what you think!!! since you lived in Italy use the full body olive oil not the extra light olive oil.

Hi Jim. If you can find an Asian supermarket you should be able to get most of the ingredients. Galangal can be substituted with more ginger and the fish sauce can be substituted with soy sauce. Hope this helps!

Hey Jim! Thanks for trying the Lentil soup! I'm sorry it was too salty for you but i'm so happy you guys liked it over all and that you will be making it again. I am definitely going to be trying it with the tomato paste instead I'll let you know how it turns out! :)
