About me
I'm just your average not-so-typical l.a. girl that actually LIKES to eat and regards anything "fat-free", "sugarless", "nonfat" and "lite" with a healthy degree of suspicion. d-i-e-t is a filthy four letter word. having your respect for your body reflect in your eating choices, on the other hand, is fucking awesome. in general, i'm not a huge fan of processed foods, though i do admit to the occasional snickers bar. the only thing i like frozen is ice-cream. i am completely horrified and non-plussed by people whom apparently subsist on frozen "throw it in the microwave" food. the word "food" in the preceding sentence was used very loosely. anyway, what can i say except i LOVE food. i love thinking about it, looking at it, playing with it, making it. i especially love eating it. i'm quite fond of dinner parties and wish i had the money to throw at least two a week. food can be so completely engaging to your senses as few things are. you look at it, taste it, hear it (the crunchy stuff anyway), touch it, and smell it!!! it can be bland and boring or it can be damned sexy and exciting. when it comes to food, my philosophy is "if a little is good, a LOT must be better". i like things to explode with flavor in my mouth. my love of herbs and spices is infamous among my friends. "restraint" is something i definitely need a few lessons in. ;)
