About me
I'm a SWF so I have to motivate myself to cook (cooking for one is sometimes more trouble than it's worth). I grew up in south Florida, then lived in Tallahassee for 11 years before moving to Seattle. I spent five years there (lived right across the street from the Space Needle) and I would still be there if I could convince my family to relocate. Now I'm back in Florida again, but I do miss the tea shop on Queen Anne Hill (and the Safeway & Thriftway; I also liked the one in Ballard too.) And let's not forget about Larry's Market, another favorite shopping spot of mine. (That's where I was on 9/11 when I first found out about the attacks.) Then there were all the amazing restaurants to choose from! I sure do have some fond food memories of Seattle. :) But while I was in the Northwest, I missed out on all the good Southern homecooking I'd known and loved e.g. *real* barbeque, hush puppies, greens, corn bread (they don't make it right in Seattle, although Marie Callendar's in Bellevue was awfully good). Then there's that Southern beverage staple: sweet tea! I love that I can order "half and half" at a Southern restaurant and the waitress knows what I'm talking about! ;-)

Thanks for the lovely comments (& ratings) on my recipes -- you've certainly chosen some of MY favs too!
I adore the Squash & Spinnach Lasagna (proud to say, I make it comletely from scratch -- and it's devine!)
The Graham Cracker Crumb Cake is excellent warm with butter on top...the Creme de Menthe Souffle IS easy to make, and yes, I often serve the Gnocchi w Gorgonzola as a side dish too!!
Though I've been to Florida, I've never been to Seattle -- would love to go sometime, though :)
Thanks again, & have a great, great day :)

Hello, KarenInFlorida, and thanks for the in-'bite'-tation -- looking forward to sharing recipes with you :)

You are write it's same as the iranian dish in our country we call it broad beans in rice and we don't put dill but exactly the same way .I made it with frozen green soya beans -took them by mistake and turned out delicious -nicer than the broad beans.
We do have similar receipes with the iranians we all love rice and it's really delicious don't you agree .Have a nice day

Hi As for hot spices don't add them that's all .So many people even in my country have it without hot chilies, what you do is cut tomatoes very small boil them for few minutes with a small spoon of tomato paste ,after they are cool, add cucumber, fresh coriander and garlic .I make both when i serve it .hope youlike it this way.
If only the DHL can deliever food i would send you what you like .....Have a good day
