About me
Female who loves cooking, among a million other things. --------I'm a big cheese lover...a shame it's pricey and fattening. I have recently gotten into sausage and pastas more. I love casseroles and foods with dips and sauces. I hate dry poultry. As an example, I love chicken dishes but not chicken alone unless it's with a dip, my stomach lurches (it's weird). Likewise I cannot eat Turkey plain, yet I can eat it blended with dressing and gravy - heavenly! ---------For desserts I've always loved custards and puddings and pies...not much of a cake person but enjoy making those as well. I can't tolerate lots of frosting anymore, my teeth are too sensitive and it makes me nauseous if the sweets are overloaded. Cake can taste good though, I need to experiment with more than just birthday cake. Pies are GREAT fun!! -------I love making breads. Sadly this is my most challenged area. I have dreams of making all these breads on a regular basis. I love quick breads and using the bread machine sometimes (but bake in the oven). Just a lot easier. I seem to screw up most breads so far. (sigh) --------I have too many cooking machines taking up room in the kitchen...yet I honestly use all of them. ------I'm a rare breed for tea. I love sweet iced tea but am rare in that I also love hot teas. So far I can't find anyone else locally that loves both here (Florida)! -------I sort all my recipes in recipe boxes, preferring their sentimental value. --------Why can't this website gets a more functional about you section, where you can at least have spaces? :(
