About me
I'm a mom of 2 awesome teens whose grocery bill seems to be growing weekly! I try to be a frugal cook and use up leftovers as creatively as possible and avoid processed or packaged foods. I'm of Greek descent and really love Mediterranean food, as well as Middle Eastern food. Most of my cooking is just like my mom's ("a little of this, a handful of that") - no recipe, per se. I can't really claim I'm a baker -- I fumble clumsily through cookie recipes but I make amazing bread without using a recipe. I love "scratch cooking" and have made everything from ricotta cheese to pastas & all sorts of preserves.
