I'm a former tech geek turned floral design manager/event designer. I love to cook and entertain! I'm not a vegetarian but into veggies big-time. I grow my own herbs - and have a yard filled with lavendars and catmint, rosemary and chives, basil and mint - though I try to keep my mint to pots b/c it takes over EVERYTHING and wears out its welcome FAST. I love farmer's markets and all natural things from New England. I'm a member of Slow Food and the Vermont Fresh Network and try to eat/cook local whenever possible. I'm an independent restaurant food geek - and avoid chains and big business retaurants whenever possible. My faves in Boston are: Oleana (in Cambridge), The Butcher Shop, B&G Oysters, No. 9 Park, Tryst (in Beverly), Hammersleys, Oishii (the one in the South End), Flatbread Company (in Bedford), Mandrake (in Beverly), Vita Mia (in Saugus), and so many more all over the country.
