About me
I am happily married, a mother of 6 children ages 20 to 36. I have 9 grandchildren ages 6 months, to 15. I love cooking for them. I like one dish meals and slow cooker meals because I work and they save time. My mom is a terrific cook and my grandmother was too. Their cooking style of measure nothing, eyeball everything used to intimidate me. I learned to cook from cookbooks. Now that I'm a confident cook, I lean towards their style of cooking. One of my favorite dishes is my mother's Chicken Paprikash with dumplings. It took me years to get it right, now it's delicious just like mom's. When I figure out the ingredient amounts, I'll post the recipe.

Thanks for the great memories of our plum trees, we had them in our yard as well and thats when my mom would make them, along with her plum lekvar, which she made on huge tubs on an open fire outside.....I still make them when I need reminded of my childhood....thanks
