About me
I retired from a major car company in 2001. My wife of 30 years still works so I have taken on the task of being chief cook and bottle washer. My mother started teaching me to cook when I was 10 years old. She said I would never know when it would come in handy. Obviously she was right. Mom was from West Virginia and my father was from England and moved to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the early 1900's. I was brought up on either fried or boiled foods. It wasn't until I met my Italian wife that I realized there was more to cooking than I was originally taught.
