About me
I am a simple country girl who lives in the western North Carolina section of the Appalachian mountains. I am a child of God. I need you to know that my strength lies in Him. I sew for a living making custom pillows, cushions, draperies, do some upholstery (even though I don't like upholstery), and fitted slipcovers (absolutely hate these). I have 2 children (Jeremy and Janelle) and 4 grandchildren (Felecia, Justin, Billy and Jeneen). Felecia lives with me and graduates from high school in June - then leaves the nest. I will miss her. I am married to a wonderful husband of 35 years - Danny. I love to garden and can about everything I can get my hands on. Love tomatoes the best. I make salsa, spaghetti sauce, tomato juice, jerky sauerkraut in a crock and pickles. I have to hide the juice, jerkey and pickles. Felecia and Justin are my taste testers and Billy and Jeneen are the testers and helpers. We have 3 long-haired chihuahuas, 1 short haired chihuahua, 1 large outside dog, 2 outside cats, 2 roosters, 8 hens. Couldn't eat not one of them. They keep us entertained as they are free range poultry. We have easter egg hunts year round.
