About me
I love to cook and bake almost anything. I am espcially interested in International baking and ethnic recipes of any sort. . I try not to use mixes of any sort if I can help it; but on some rare occasions I do. I cook and bake almost anything from vegan, vegetarian, sugar free, large quantity, European , oriental and traditional American cooking and espcially enjoy Southern tea parlor cooking and baking I taught cooking lessons, did private catering, had my own dessert business years ago, had my own culinary web pages for years- retired it and now have a web page just devoted to my dogs ! My Culinary Motto: Easy, Elegant and Differently Delicious !. Simplicty plus style. I love the finishing touches to table setting such as napking folding, flower arrangement and so on. I collect cookbooks and kitchen gadgets as well as carnival glassware and all sorts of butterfly dishes. I love gardening and growing my own herbs. Flowers I love , are the iris, roses, peonies, and lilacs . I am companion to 2 Papillon dogs ( Cosmo and Midge ), have a loving husband and 2 grown wonderful daughters. And oh, I am also an RN by profession! I love to bake, cook and heal! And if you ever have a question, about anything I cook or bake, just ask, I would be more than happy to share My recipe collections between books, on computer, personal cd's and even in shoe boxes and storage boxes etc probably are close to several million. I have been collecting for close to 50 years( started as a preteen already ). It also helps to have a family of chefs , restauranteurs , caterers and bakers too! So it's in my genes too! Enjoy my recipes. Ratings are always nice but the sharing is the main thing. I realize recipe searches are never ending as there is never such a thing as the perfect recipe for anybody!! That's why we are all here! I never will post a low rating for any recipe I view . What's the purpose? I can easily judge and rate a recipe without trying it. A recipe can be a 5 to me and not for you but consider this; someone takes time to post, type, describe , upload a photo and eventually cook or bake . I generously give a 5 to all for this effort. Life is short, food is such fun and times can be hard for all of us. Food and recipes are common grounds for us. Bon Apetit!! Food is indeed the Spice of Life!!!
