About me
I am sorry I have to put this here. Some people both men and woman email me asking for my phone number, photos, real email etc wanting to get very personal I just won't repond ! This site is to share recipes, talk about food not to find lovers.!!! I am indeed happily married, have a wonderful husband, and great children! So: I grew up as a restaurant kid, my dad was an Escoffier chef, my mom a Vienesse baker. My family owned and operated several restaurants for over 30 years. Needless to say some of their skills rubbed off on me and I learned at a very early age about food, preparation, cooking, baking and people skills from my restaurant experiences. So I do consider myself a culinary expert I attended culinary school to hone my skills , hadmy own dessert business, taught cooking classes, edited some local cookbooks and was food editor with my own cooking colums for several local newspaper for over 10 years. I also did some local cooking shows for cable T.V. which was so much fun! Throughout all these years I learned there is no one perfect recipe and no one perfect way to cook or bake something. So I have a problem with anyone who thinks they know the only way, or have the one and only perfect recipe. Food is very cultural and that is why I love international recipes of all kinds. There is always room to learn something new and from others. I enjoy everything and cook and bake to include: large quantity, sugar free, vegetarian, catering recipes, anything ethnic, baking to include: sourdough,special pastry and cakes. Loving , American regional, Barbecue, Southern cooking, Oriental and Middle-EasternI Italian, Greek, Jewish, Eastern European-- oh my goodness, most all! So Group Recipes is such a great place to share and to learn.! No one ever gets anything less than a 5 from me for their recipe contributions; after all they are spending their time to share something which someone may find useful. I never see any need for low ratings or for anyone to put someone down ! Oh by the way, I am happily married with grown children and have 2 wonderful dogs Besides my love of cooking and baking, I love gardening, the outdoors, flea markets, collecting carnival and depression glass, anything with butterflys, cookbooks and old culinary gadgets, napkin folding and table settings, going new places and meeting new people and of course testing new recipes! Last but least: Bon ApetIt. my foodie friends! Remember Life is a bowl of cherries along with the pits!
