About me
I am a self taught cook of many years. I was taught to cook by my mother who fried everything. I taught myself to cook once I got out on my own then I had to teach my mother how to cook. :) I have two grown daughters and presently live with 3 cute kitties who keep me busy just keeping up with their demands. I've had to change my cooking style over the years as I became disabled and therefore had to learn shortcuts and conviencence in order to put a tasty meal on the table.

I'm so glad you liked the cherry cobbler. Pitting the cherries was the most work of all, but cherries are worth it! We've actually broken one pitter already, by using it to death. The cobbler was very tasty, by the way. In the future, I would probably use less sugar, though. It's a question of personal preference.

Thanks for letting me know about the chops. so happy you liked them. always nice to hear. Thank you!!

Your black kitty is a beauty... I have 3 all black cats... that blend in perfectly with the floor in the middle of the night...!!!

We LOVE the kitty avitar!

Hello-
I saw that you have recipe software that you like. I am pretty computer illiterate, but my recipe addiction is getting out of hand. I can't keep printing all these recipes. Which program do you suggest? This site is unreliable, but maybe that's why I like it.

Thanks so much for your nice comments. I lived in the U.P., MI in late 80's. My friends mom won first place in the Daily Mining Gazette with this one, and many others. wonderful cook she was!

Hey fellow Midwest Foodie! We are getting together a recipe swap in the "Midwest Cooks" Group, do you think you might want to join in the fun?

No big deal if not, but we would love to have you & it would be a great way to meet people on here! Please just bump over to the thread if you are interested in the recipe swap... :)
