About me
An 8th generation Roman with a passion for cooking, I have been a food editor for many years, during which I had the chance to meet the most celebrated Italian chefs and learn their secrets. I am fully bilingual and have been running cooking classes in Italy (Tuscany, Rome, Sabina), England (Cambridge) and Australia (Sydney). I live in Toffia, a tiny medieval hilltop village north of Rome, inside a 15th century 'palazzetto' with my Australian wife Sally and our daughter. Every evening, I prepare food for my wife and daughter that has come from my grandmother’s family. The secrets of these recipes have been passed down from my grandmother to my mother and now onto me. I want to share this love and passion that my family has always had for good food and wine with you, GroupRecipe members. My wife and I run Convivio Rome Italian Cooking Holidays (http://www.conviviorome.com), a boutique cooking and gourmet tour operator based inside the medieval walls of Toffia, in the Roman countryside.

I'm anxious to look through your wonderful recipes! What amazing experiences you have had! Have a great day! Pamela

MoltoBuono, have you a recipe you can share to make "Zuppa Inglese"? I love this luscious dessert and would like to make it correctly, for once. I am Abruzzese by ancestry, and grew up eating gorgeous foods, just as all Italians do. Grazie, Delia

I miss Roma! I used to visit there all the time when I lived near Vicenza. Do you happen to have a recipe for fried artichoke? I had one at a ristorante there. I want to say somewhere in the Jewish Ghetto.

I love carbonara. The best I ever had was when our exchange student's dad visited and had speck sent over. They are from Cremona. It was wonderful....

Looking forward to browsing your recipes! My heritage is Italian (Sicilian, specifically) and I love pretty much any Italian food. Excited to try some authentic recipes. :)

Thanks for accepting my invite!
