    Jesus Christ, are you kidding me?? Keni was younger than me! How?? Thanks so much for letting me know. I will now proceed to sulk in the corner for a while and feel terrible about not being more active on here. Rest assured, I just moved the other day and have a workable kitchen again so that will change. Sign me up for that annual thing. Tell me what to do and it'll get done.

    Hey Michelle! Thanks on your comment on my beef and wine stew :)
    You definitely can convert the recipe. You can simmer the stew for 2 to 3 hours depending on the cut of beef. Also I would have more stock ready to be added. If you cook it this way the flavours actually develop more and the stew is even more yummy ;)

    Thanks for commenting on my hominy! And many thanks for making me realise I forgot to say the hominy was dried! That little detail would ruin the recipe for someone that tries it... So thanks again ;)
    Hope you do make it. It is a recipe close to my heart and it is the perfect winter comfort food.

    did you not drain the beans? For some reason, not draining beans makes me squeamish. Like mushrooms. :-P I'd rather drain and use broth. Just wondering if you remember what you did.
