Hmm, my friend's recipe said buttermilk too. Since I don't have buttermilk, I'll give this a try. Thanks for the post.

Hi, used to get these as a lunch meal in local bar back in the 70's. This recipe is exactly what were served. Very Yummy and filling! It was frozen and cooked in the pizza oven. Thanks for the recipe!

I thought the original one used buttermilk. I'm getting ready to make this recipe...I will see if they taste like I remember. Thanks

You could use a GF "all purpose" flour for the 5 cups of wheat flour, I'd suggest adding 1/2 tsp guar or xanthan gum too. You can also make your own blend, I have a few listed on this site.

  • mrpiggy 1 year ago about Rootbeer Pulled Pork
This is m first pulled pork. Dont know what size roast I should have used. I had a 2lb. It came out very tender and juicy, but by itself there was too much rootbeer flavor for me. Adding BBQ sauce was the key. Made excellent sliders. Thank you. More posted in IMI Morninlites Rootbeer Pulled Pork

Theres 2 I've made and liked, both have bananas - http://www.parentsconnect.com/parents/food/recipe-center/easy-breakfasts/banana_oatmeal_breakfast_cookies.html (I suggest making these into "oatmeal squares" rather than round cookies) and http://www.eatbetteramerica.com/recipes/healthified/healthified-oatmeal-peanut-butter-breakfast-cookies.aspx

Did you mean breakfast cookies with oatmeal or cookies made with instant breakfast oatmeal?

Thank you for modifying your pumpkin butter recipe.
I think the original recipe will be just fine if used as a fresh use, refrigerator, or freezer product. Please repost it as such. It's just the canning process that causes concern. The vacuum created during the canning process and the variable viscosity of the pumpkin is what creates an environment for microorganisms to flourish.
I would like to make a batch for fresh use out of the refrigerator.
I'm always on the lookout for recipes I can "can". That's what drew me to your recipe in the first place.
Thank you for being sensitive to your fellow cooks.
