Thanks for being my new cooking buddy. I'm afraid I can't answer your question about Jewish food as i know nothing about that, or chat rooms either. About all I know about is Southern cooking. LOL ~Gem~

Hello everyone, I'm not accustomed to chat rooms, or jewish food, just what makes it Jewish? as well as some of the others. We raised sheep to sell, never ate mutton or lamb, but we did consume a lot of wild game meats. I've heard people refer to venison, elk, moose, etc as 'gamey' tasting. The way the animal was cared for in the field and the care we took in 'butchering' at home allowed us to have very mild tasting meat...just a little different from beef. Not strong or 'scented'.
Please feel free to add to my knowledge base by enlightening me on my weak points.
I'm looking forward to learning a lot on this site, Thanks, mudracers mom
