REAL Scottish shortbread always has rice flour or cornstarch in it. A shortbread recipe without this ingrediant is NOT the real thing.

I was born and grew up in Scotland. My cooking is very much influenced by the fresh fish, vegetables, whole grains and light fruit deserts I grew uo with. Our main dish was often soup, thick, hearty peasant soup.
