About me
I was born & raised in the North. Even though I'm very Irish, my first spoken word as a child was "olive" (not potato or beer). Guess that my obsession with food began quite early. My family traveled a bit when I was young, and trying new foods was a highlight of each destination. I spent a number of years in Northern CA and Seattle, pretending to get educated, but really soaking up the cultural and culinary offerings. I've played music, cooked, taught, and written for a living. I currently reside in a tropical paradise, with an amazing offering of fresh local fruits, vegetables, and seafood. I still play music, teach, and write, but now I only cook what I want, and for people that I like.

I like your baba ganoush recipe. I am still stuck in the north, so in the wintertime (about 9 months of the year) I enjoy cooking. Seafood is pretty tough to get around here although we do enjoy walleye frequently. I hope to be your cooking friend.
