I am a volunteer and a fundraiser for community development. We are doing a cookie jar festival May 2, 2009 in Vienna Illinois city park. Disney characters and the "Cruisers" band for family entertainment and a vintage apron show along with a "Cookie Jar Auction" Funds go to a scholarship at a local college to students who have been involed in community service. Also working on a bicycle tour in the hills and wetlands of Alexander County October 24, 2009.
We lived on the Ohio River for 30 years running a campground and large cookouts were frequent and so much fun.
My late husband made me a large "Table style grill" to roast corn on the cob. I soaked the corn in water with one cup of salt in #2 washtubs over nigt and just put them on the gril silks and all. the roasting did away with the silks and the husks left on helped to steam the corn. Then just dipped in a coffee can of butter and seasonings, and a pastry brush to coat them. Also made Wisconsin State Fair crteam puffs.

I would like "Cooking for a crowd" type recipes.
