Hey -- I followed my husband from St Louis all the way to Shanghai, only to discover there's not much decent stuff in the grocery store! Well, you can get live eel, frogs, crabs (sometimes they get loose), but really! The import section is a joke. Then I was taken (try to avoid riding in taxis) to the City Shop, an import shop that has Pop-Tarts, Minute Rice, etc, for a price. About the only thing I can't beg, borrow or steal is corn tortillas. I'll survive. Luckily hubby will eat anything, although daughter has had food issues since she was tube fed for months & months as a child. Just what I need, more challenges in my life. LOL. But the Lord will see me through! Oh, yeah -- we're going to Hong Kong for Christmas; I hear there are "real" stores there.
