    Great recipe- I loved it. I made a few changes. I used ground instead of whole spices, and substituted 1 tsp whereever you wrote 1 tbsp (for any of the whole spices). I also cut down on cardamom to 1 tsp ground measure and added an additional 1 tsp ground sumac and 1 tbsp fennel seeds. I cooked the onions and peppers first for about 10 minutes before adding the diced tomatoes, and continued until they softened, before using a hand blender to puree the mix. (I might try a regular blender next time since I splashed myself quite a bit with the hand blender.) Finally, I removed the lamb from the marinade to sear for a few minutes in a hot pan, before adding everything to the tomato/pepper puree.

    Hello and thank you for the cooking buddy invite. From the sounds of it, you have learned to make time in life to find the things you truly enjoy. I think that is great except that you are a doctor and in hospital administration. I know your free time must be limited. I hope you get time to enjoy the food and people here because there are a lot of great ones in both categories. :D
