I didn't really like this. Cumin is an odd taste to put with pork. This mix is nowhere near as yummy as a sage, onion and apple based mix. I felt pretty sad that my lovely pork chop was covered in this stuff.

I love this with almost anything. Last week I added 1/2 pkg dry Ranch dressing to the EVOO and drizzled over broccoli and cauliflower. YUM. Thanks for the great post.

Have made this adding Vidalia onions, yellow potatoes, carrots and a splash of balsamic vinegar. This is a wonderful addition to any meat, especially ones cooked on grill or baked in oven. Fantastic recipe!

Happy New Year, Polly. We've been away so here's the answer to your query re. the cinnamon nut rugelach. Mix up some cinnamon sugar and just toss in broken up walnuts. Spread a bit of mild jelly or even Nutella and then sprinkle on the mixture and then continue with the directions. I'd recently made a batch for my daughter with Nutella and flaked coconut and she was ecstatic.

Hi Polly, thanks for the note. I mixed up my bread dough last night and my dutch oven is supposed to arrive today, so hopefully by tonight I'll have something going in the oven. I am really enjoying this site, with the great recipes and folks that share a love of cooking. Happy New Year!
