About me
I have 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren. Cooking was a chore when they were at home because of all the "hustle/bustle" with job, school, outside activities, well you know...... But now that life has changed for me, the kitchen has become a great challenge for me. I love old recipes and Southern Cooking. I have saved recipes for years and now, I can even take the challenge of coming up with new dishes on my own that I am very proud of! I have been married for 4 years and my husband just loves my cooking and we entertain in our home and have many good comments on the food and I am always giving out my recipes. I am so excited to find this website and look forward to sharing with new friends. I am from Birmingham, Alabama and we do have wonderful "Southern Cooks" here. My Sister is a Chef but she loves to make "pretty food" while I love to cook "Real" food. We are from a long line of cooks and our love for cooking just seems to be passing from one generation to the other. I hope one day to have my own cookbook with all the wonderful recipes that have been passed down to me and also all the ones that I am now creating.
