    My guess is with the saltyness, is that you should use unsalted butter in the recipe. I used salted butter, but did cut back the salt to about 1 tsp. But overall, this cake was just so-so, not great, but not bad. A little dry considering all the butter in it. When I think about the fat and calories in this, I would rather go with a cheesecake!

    I agree with everyone here, great recipe but the amount of salt is way off. I used 1 tsp and it turned out wonderful. Skipped the almond extract and added some lemonjuice instead. Made a lemon glaze for the top.

    You should really take the time to learn pottery.. I am what is called a handbuilder and rather build that way then use a wheel
    I love the feel of clay and I have found making bread so much easier after pounding at clay for hours
