Thank you, I had to look it up on the web to find out that it is a bean that resembles a yellow split pea and that some places sell yellow split peas as Chana dal. You have me thinking in different directions. I have not done much with Indian food, a couple of simple curry's. I find it a bit intimidating to tell the truth, and that is something that I don't say about most things. I just don't have any experience with Indian cooking. One part of the world I never got to. We have an Indian restraint in town but I refuse to go after the owner got arrested and charged with slavery!
