About me
Hello I'm Shannon and I guess you could say my interest in cooking comes from a life time of fried potatoes, beans and cornbread...ha ha .. My mother is from Kentucky and that was the type of food i grew up on. So needless to say i have to do the exact opposite of what my mother does. Not that there is anything wrong with that kind of cooking but i try to stay away from heavy fried foods and many of her recipes include either cooking in lard or adding it to her food for flavor. Like bacon greese..Yuck..I mean yum cause it tastes great but gosh its like you might as well just inject it right into your arteries and get it over with...I love flavorful food and love to try new things I cant wait to see what i find here.
